Kelleher, Mose Thomas Previous Minutes: Carl made a motion to accept the minutes as read, Rich seconded the motion and everyone was in favor. Financial Report: After looking at the financial report it was stated that the Chamber is getting healthier. Rich made the motion to accept the financial report, Mose made the second, everyone was in favor and the financial report will be filed for audit. 4th of July Parade: It will definitely take place on Sunday July 1st at noon. We are asking all Chamber members to get involved. Next year we will try to make the time of the parade 1 p.m. so it is more Church sensitive. Blues in the Park: The dates are July 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th. The Chamber will have a booth set up from 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sand City West End Celebration will be in the Latter part of August! Business Expo: Jim is still working to make this happen. Rich and Jim have a projected date of August 30th. They are going to get a hold of Small Business Center at Cario College. They would also like to offer several classes to help the small business owners. The meeting was a very positive meeting and it looks like the Chamber is headed in the right direction. Lisa Brinton: Gave us an update on our request for the Chamber. She told us that the City of Seaside meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 4 p.m. if we would like to attend. It is always a blessing to have the Seaside and Sand City representatives with us. Carl Kelleher: Gave an update on the Business Leaders Luncheon that was held at Monterey Bay Christian Center on Tuesday June 12, 2012. We had about 40 leaders present and many of the leaders were willing to do this on a quarterly basis. We had the Mayor from Seaside and also the Mayor from Sand City present at the meeting. Adjournment: We dismissed the meeting by 10:15 a.m. Very positive meeting. Sincerely; Carl Kelleher |
